Wiring for 2013 Laramie tow mirrors
I have a set of chrome tow mirrors on my 2013 Laramie am I'm wanting to trade for a standard set of Laramie chrome mirrors but I can't find out if other year(11 or 12) are wired the same even if they have the same features--electric, heated, puddle light and turn signal. Different answers from different dodge parts guys?????????? I think they have to be 2013 because of the wiring but does anyone know without taking the truck apart?

You could check the link in the sticky at the top of the 2013 thread, put in a 2012 and check the mirror wiring and then put a 2013 and see if there different, it will even give you pictures of the plugs for each, just in case you cant find it look here.

I looked at that once, but I'll try it again--

I just looked and I would do more research, right now from what I see on the wiring site, the 11 and 12 are the same connectors and the 2013 is a different connector for the mirrors, I just don't have an hour to spend on it. But from a quick look, the 2 look different.

Thanks for taking the time. Looks like I need to find someone with a 2013 that wants to trade as long as their trucks has the same features as my truck.

I would imagine that at least the '13 driver's mirror is different since the ambient temperature sensor has been moved to the mirror. The '12 & '11 were somewhere else.

Thanks for the information. That pretty well narrows it down to just a 2013.

I think your stuck looking for the 2013 non-towing mirrors to trade.

I only wish the towing mirrows had power folding. but I can live without it as need the towing mirrors more.

I'd rather manually fold it, instead of leaving them on the ground by the edge of the garage while backing out. There a little hard to get used to. LOL

The towing mirrors do manually fold just not power fold. I do agree either way you want to fold them even if parking at the mall as they do stick out more then a car and easy for someone to hit them just walking by.
