T1000 logging engine oil temperature

I emailed DS on this and got this reply. "Thatís simply what Chrysler wanted the PCM to see, I canít comment on why it does not match the data in the EVIC."

Not very useful.

The parameter for oil temp says "Oil Temp Calc". Why does this need to be calculated and why isn't there a direct measurement? The value on the gage hardly changes at all and totally does not agree with the Vehicle information given on the dash. Anyone found a workaround for this? ECT, and transmission temp are spot on.
