when will we get a after market built trans?

For us guys getting all this power added to our truck. Sooner or later the trans will go. Thats one thing I hate about dodge ram aftermarket. There is none. I mean look at chevy and ford aftermarket for there trucks. Anything you need you can get. I would love to get a supercharger one day. But not untul this crappy built tranny gets beefed up. So has anyone heard of like a diesel tranny swap or aftermarket trans for our truck.

T-56 6 speed is probly your best bet... Find a doner SRT-10 truck and jack the parts out of it...

T56 Magnum to 3G HEMI Mopar including LA engine series
Also covers B / RB engines using a different Quick Time Bell Housing

Bell Housing
The Quick Time bellhousing is the best solution for the Mopar adaptation. The T56 Magnum transmissions bolt pattern is the same as the T56 LS1 Chevy transmission. The bell housing part number for the T-56 Magnum to small block Mopar (LA) and 3G HEMI is Quick Time P/N RM6076.

Roller Pilot Bearing
The new Magnum T56 uses the same roller pilot bearing as the Chevy TKO 5 Speeds. The GM part # is 14061685 and AC Delco is CT1078. This bearing will have to be press fit into the pilot bearing adaptor just like the Mopars currently do.

Transmission Isolation Mount
SRT-10 Stock one?

Transmission Cross Member

Flywheel and Clutch w/ Hardware
3G Hemi Flywheel – Use existing McLeod unit for the 3G HEMI flywheel – 8 bolt crank flange. This flywheel is the only one on the market that has the correct diameter bolt holes at this time.

3G HEMI Flywheel – 130 tooth - Use METRIC Hardware for attached to the crankshaft – Qty. 8 10mm x 21mm long Grade 12.9 ARP only

Clutch: 10 ” standard clutch - Clutch hardware is standard IFI specification grade 8.

Clutch Disc – 1 1/8 -26 spline clutch disc.

Clutch Alignment Tool – Centerforce 26 spline alignment tool. (Hawii Racing OR Speedway)

Starter
When using the Quick Time bell housing it is recommended to use the Mopar Performance mini / hi-torque starter. Stock Mopar location is on the drivers side of the engine. The trimming of 2 bosses is required on the drivers side of the engine to properly fit and seat the starter. A small wizzer wheel makes this work easy.

Quick Time is also fitting the starters on the right side (passenger side of the engine) in the dedicated 3G installations and using the stock starters. (take note)

No the 3rd gen and 4th gen hemi's are cosmetically the same when it comes to the transmission.

Also you could look at ATS they make a great trans with a 5 year 500,000 thousand mile waranty

And there is Sharradon Performance they also make built transmissions for our motors.

Tremec has a very end all be all transmission for our motors as well

That ats isnt expensive at all add this and a rip supercharger for 6000 bucks and you have a 12 sec reliable ram. This is definitely on my wish list. For after payoff toys. 5 year 500000 mile warranty is crazy good. I guess then it would haveto be axles next and ujoints

ATS is crap.....Just ask karateman he dropped his ats tranny not to long after he installed it. Unfortunately there are no bullet proof trannys for our trucks and unless the 8 speed proves that it can hold power I don't think their will ever been anything that can stand 500-550rwhp for more than a year....if that maybe a few months lol. Only thing that sucks about the 8speed it will probably be 5 years until you start seeing the capabilities with how slow the aftermarket is for our trucks.
