Shifter handle removal?

I want to replace the shift handle with a round knob. How does it come off? I tried twisting to unscrew it but it would not budge. Did not want to apply too much pressure not knowing for sure.

Set parking brake and put it in neutral. Slide the bottom chrome piece down and lift straigt up on the handle.

Do any of yall know if MOPAR# 82211622 will fit on our trucks.
Mopar says challenger and charger but they look the same

if its the T-handle for challengers, it will fit. Just looked at mine and took a caliper to it..threadless and .31" in diameter but notched. Trying to source out an adapter to run any kind of shifter ball, speeddawg has one
