18" rims..?

I was starting to look into wheels and tires and I'd like a good "meaty" mud...ish tire. I don't wanna pay for 20" tires and think I like the look of a smaller wheel/more tire look. My truck is leveled I think since this is how it was when I bought it. And it's a lil taller then most other trucks that are stock. I like the look when the wheels/tires "poke" a little from the body.

Is there a good set up that is "well-known"? I'm not trying to be original wi figment or anything lol

i got just the treatment for you!

Drop down to a 17" or 18" wheel. then get the appropriate tire of your choice. You'll save a decent amount of money dropping down. I used rimzoneonline.com

For a wheel that sticks out some. I suggest a -12mm offset wheel. Then you can clear a 35x12.5 tire, assuming you are leveled which it looks like you are.

here are some pics of my set up: 17" wheels, -12mm offset, 35x12.5x17 federal couragia mud terrains. With only a level.

How wide are your wheels?

Nvm saw in your signature 8.5. I think I want a wider wheel

18x9 on 33 or 35x12.50 mud tire would look good.

gonefishin776 05-07-2013 10:49 PM

you can do that. 18" will offer wider options Than a 17" probably. still wont change how far your tires stick out. it'll bulge the sidewall out more but that's about it.

was just givin you an idea of a smaller rim with beefy tires and the offset you might like
