TIre Question

Hey guys so this may seem like a stupid question, but i want a 4 inch lift, but have 3.55 gears so do not really want to go with a 35 inch tire and was thinking about getting 275/65/r20 so a 34 inch tire? Will this look stupid?

Thanks

Go for the 35's. I just put them on my 4.7L with 3.55's and it's honestly not near as bad as you would think. The place where I notice it the most is going up hills. The rest doesn't bother me at all. Check out my thread with a review of the tires and a ton of pictures.

I am more afraid of having terrible mileage. What mileage do you get?

I've only had them on about 5 days now so I can't comment great numbers on the mileage yet. I am updating my Bully Dog now to recalibrate my speedo and odometer. Within the next couple weeks I will get back with some good numbers. Right now my Bully Dog is averaging around 15 MPG but that's with the wrong tire size. When I update it my mileage should go up. I'm hoping for around 15-16 MPG tank averages.

If you want to keep a bit better mileage but have the size go with an AT tire. They are a bit lighter which will help. The Toyo Open Country AT2's are a good choice.

Are you only using your tuner just to recaibrate everything?

Do you mean is that the only thing I'm using to re-calibrate the truck? Or if I'm using it to tune the truck as well?

I will be re-installing the tune as well. I've been running the regular tune since the end of February and I highly recommend it. Here's a link to my thread reviewing the tuner:
