4th Gen OEM Fog Light install

I cant beleive i didnt take any pics until we were all done, but with the help of snrusnak's directions, i swapped out my front bumper for one with the OEM fog cut outs.

Long story short, a friend backed into my truck last weekend. so after figuring this was the perfect time to upgrade the truck to OEM fogs, and a road trip from Niagara Falls Canada to Erie PA for the new parts, we installed the new bumper and fogs today.

As snrusnak suggested, I ordered the OEM Mopar fog light kit for the bumper w/o fogs, and the fog lights and brackets for the new bumper with the fog cutouts, and everything worked great!

All in, it took about 2 hours, but i still have to get the dealer to flash the computer with the sales code. We tried with my freinds scanner (who is a mechanic), but we couldnt find the option...

anyhow, here is what the new bumper looks like...but i never had a chance to wash it yet!

Nice looks good! This is definitely something I've thought about doing on my SXT. If you don't mind me asking about how much did it cost your for all the parts?

the bumper was $418 and all the parts for the fogs were just under $370.00 in the USA, not the cheapest mod, but i needed a new bumper anyhow, so it was def the time to do it..

and $40.00 for a case of beer to my buddy for doing the majority of the work at his shop!

Plus im looking at $50.00 for the dealer to flash the computer with the sales code tomorrow.

Looks good. Definitely need the fogs with the OEM headlights. Reps for that.

i didnt go right to the dealer, but a collison shop brought it in for me right from Mopar in Cleveland.

the place was called Bonell's Auto Group on west 26th.

excellent guys there and genuine Mopar Brand new in the boxes!

Glad it worked bud!

FYI to anyone interested, the mopar fog light kit is roughly $200(actually a little cheaper) and you need the harness from it and you need the switch from it. It also has instructions showing you exactly how to wire the harness to the truck(very easy...no special skills needed). You can sell off the spare fog lights that come with it(I did) to recoup some of that cost. Then get the bumper/fog lights/brackets/etc from wherever you want(you can google all this info) and then get the dealer to flash the pcm(this part is in the instructions as well).

Then you have a fully oem setup.

I was amazed when I added the oem fog lights how much light output they had. I swear they are brighter than my headlights lol.

it was just as easy as you said, and the dealer flashed them today and they work!

very easy set up like Sean says, and i have already had some bites on the remaining parts from the kit on kijiji...

thanks for the tips Sean, reps for that!

A side note, the mopar fog light kit, instructions are for 09-10. For some reason dodge changed where the fog light jumper is located in the tipm. Here is a link to a post that I help another member out with. I did this swap on my 2012 SLT.
