Broken Leaf Springs?

Has anyone ever broken a leafspring on a 1500?
I bought a new to me 02 4.7 4x4 a little while back and half of one leaf spring on each side has been snapped off. I have never seen that happen before without really overloading the truck. No signs of abuse anywhere else.

I have really loaded down my 03 hemi 4x4 (way more than recommended) and never had the slightest bit of a problem.

I have to swap out the leaf springs with another set i have, but I am not looking forward to trying to get the cam bolts out. Every set I have ever removed have been seized in place.

I bought my truck with a broken leaf on my passenger side. Truck shakes because of it. I just need the money for a new set. No trucks this new in the yards around here. (Mine is an 05).

Believe it or not mine rides great with them both broken. I was surprised to see the snapped springs at all.

My truck shakes a lot from that corner because of it (I assume.) The spring's integrity is gone so every bump is just repeated and feels like a shake.

That sucks. There is a place here in Ohio that will actually replace a single leaf, add a leaf etc. You should try your local yellow pages/ Google. The specifically work on springs. The place is called dent spring.
