Roku

Love my Roku! Very fortunate a friend dragged me more into the 21st century lol. Streaming Netflix, Crunchyroll, Plex, and the like has really been awesome. Not to mention I could give the cable company the boot.
The family Christmas present was a 50' LED TV so once we get a soundbar we will really be in style.

Only issue with the Roku and no cable, I miss NASCAR

My house is the same, no cable. Just roku box, and PS3s with netflix and hulu.

What is crunchyroll and plex?

Ya i hate missing the cup races and football games

We too gave the satellite company the boot. Installed a good in-door antenna and Roku also. Roku rocks.

No races or football? I don't think I could find a reason to live without them!

We have a smart tv and got rid of cable too. Like it MORE and saving money!

I can pick up the major networks (CBS, ABC, NBC) over the air with an antenna mounted in the attic, thus eliminating the need for cable. However, I still subscribe to cable because the wife likes History Channel and several others we just can't live without.

I have the Heki box (like Roku but more RAM) and I love it! I have that along with basic cable just for local news and network shows. Before I had an antenna but all I'd pick up is the Mexican stations (I'm 3 miles from the border).

Did the same thing a year ago. I sometimes watch the NASCAR coverage that is on RaceBuddy and stream audio from XM, or MRN or PRN online, etc but it just ain't the same. NASCAR is the ONLY thing I miss about cable.
