2012 1500 Wheels and Tires

1 Attachment(s)
Wanted to share with everyone my current set up.

Started with a Rough Country 4wd Dodge 1500 2.5" Leveling Suspension

Kit Contents:
Front: 2.5" lifted strut spacers.
Rear: 1.75" lifted coil spacers.

20" XD Series Monster wheels in Matte Black
33X12.50X20 (LT295/55R20) Nitto Trail Grapplers

Zero clearance issues, no cutting needed on inner fenders. Ride is the same, road noise is up a bit, obviously... Handling at speeds of 80+ are worse, but manageable. Off road this thing is a beast. Very happy with the set up, not only the look, but the performance as well.

Looks awesome! Love black wheels on a silver truck!

Is there reason you stayed with a 33" tire rather than stepping up to a 35"?

I love that combo, looks great! I realize the tire size is close to stock but due to the body of the vehicle being higher have you noticed a change in MPG?

The increased weight of the wheel/tire combo will also make the MPG drop for the record. It's not only the size.... The increased height would have very minimal affect on the MPG. Once you start getting into 4" lifts and higher is where you'll start to see more of an affect.

Very true, I forgot how bloody heavy those Nitto MTs are.

35" require at least a 4" lift, I didn't want to take away from the stock ride quality too much. So far, no noticeable change in MPG.

I was going to get the XD Hoss, but the are gloss black, not matte. Also they are about $75 more per wheel and on backorder out of Denver.

Looks great, nice choices. Our stock tires are 33 1/2" tall, so those may be a tad smaller. They may not though, every tire company products vary a little.
