2013 hemi > duramax

drag raced my friends son's duramax last night.he was powerbraking spooling up the turbo, light turned green I just jumped in it and was gone.looked in the mirror and all there was black smoke following me.he has a huge exhaust, tuner and some other upgrades.I am totally stock.what a blast.truck doesn't even feel as fast as when I got it,gonna put some super in it and see if theres a difference.thanks to Ram for making my night!!!!slowed down after getting over 80,figured made my point.

that surprises me, i raced a duramax at the track and he handed my ass to me (girl drivin too)... but I know what track diesels can do and expected it... I guess some know how to mod them and some don't...

I know there are some fast ones out there but there's just as many that seem to just smoke and make noise. Living in a small town in Texas there is no shortage of them and from what I hear the fast ones are hell on the drag strip starting line surface. Lots and lots of torque.

Hate to say it, but it's probably just bad driving on the boy's behalf. Most mildly modified diesels will eat a stock hemi in the 1/4 mile. Kudos to you though for the win

Or the Allison is about to barf. I can't believe people still think those heaps of crap are good

If it is stock I could see the Hemi winning. I mean, my 2012 Bone stock is not going to beat a stock Hemi. If all he had is a straight pipe and intake, then I can see how he killed it. Duramax's are quick stock, but I can see a Hemi beating one stock for stock.

Now yes... modified, at the track, a diesel can be a monster. But it takes a lot of money and hard work.
