Recall but no parts???

Hey guys im kinda new here but I was wondering if anyone has had any problems with their dealers about the pinion nut recall? my dealer is saying that they don't have any parts available..i don't understand the problem and why they need to wait for parts over something as simple as a pinion nut..any thoughts?

So if you go to this website www.ramtrucks.com you can register your truck with the vin number and everything and this site will tell you everytime you have a recall. No matter what your dealer tells you or what some newb at the dealer says you'll be up to date with your recalls. Also when you put in your mileage it will tell you when your maintenance inspections are due. This site is how i found out about the recall so when i called the dealer i atleast had some info to go on.

But still.... Why is it so difficult to get a serious part like this in stock.... Some people drive their truck everyday long distances

yeah I don't understand either..i owned a 2007 chevy Silverado with over 200k and never once had a problem like this. They don't even use retainers for they're pinion nuts they just have Loctite! I think im tired of waiting on Chrysler for something this simple and im gonna but Loctite on it and a retainer washer..
