4.7 Flowmaster American Thunder Exhaust Clip

Another member on the forum recently asked me for a sound clip of my truck so I went out tonight to take a short video for him. Thought I'd post it here in case any other 4.7 guys are wondering what the Flowmaster American Thunder kit sounds like.

Sorry for the bad picture quality; I forgot to press the focus button before recording. The sound quality is great though. Shot with a Canon T3i.

Just placed my order, $699 shipped from ontario to manitoba from tdotperformance. If any americans are interestes, amazon has them for $629 minus a $75 mail in rebate and free two day shipping.

Prefabricated exhausts are generally $500 plus. I bought my 22" maggie for $105 then paid a muffler shop $140 to weld it in place of my oem muffler.

Thanks! I'm definitely happy with it. At first I was dead set on a Magnaflow but their catback system only came with a 22" muffler (I wanted the 18") and didn't have the option for side exit which I also wanted. So I ended up going with the American Thunder system and don't regret it one bit.

The kit is fully stainless and mandrel bent so that puts the price up a bit more.

then why would anyone go that route?? when it's cheaper to have a shop professionally install it for you? and it's all the same thing

gonefishin776 05-21-2013 12:18 PM

a custom exhaust shop can do those bends and stainless too...that's what mine is if I'm not mistaken
