Variation in rpms on start up.

My 02 4.7 ram is acting weird for the last 2 weeks. When I start it up it going to about 2k rpms drops to 1100-1500 and dances there. I used to be able to let it sit and warm up a little and it drop to 600rpms but that's not working any more.

As I type it's at 1k ac off all gauges good and no codes. It has 162698 miles and it happen after I washed it 2 weeks ago. But did not wash my engine just body. Any help would be great thanks.

Bump and update

I noticed it would stop jumping when I shifted it into gear well no it was doing while in drive at a red light last night. Thinking it might be a vacuum leak. Where are the vacuum hoses on this engine?

Mine did the same thing recently. I believe its the cat acting up because ive been running high octane fuel for my superchip. Ive talked to different mechanics in my family and they just say it could be this or that. But they said it could be the cat

My vote is a dirty throttle body or a vac leak.

could be a bad map sensor or iac valve.
