Mufflers??

Looking to go with a Magnaflow Muffler, anyone know the pipe config. On 2013 ram with Hemi, 8 speed, 3.92 ? Crew Cab with 5'7" and ram box. If you have apart # that's would be great could look it up. Pipe sizes I hear are 2 different sizes? I'm still waiting for mine to be delivered, but thinking about ordering stuff now. Thanks

With the factory dual exhaust your looking for the magnaflow with a 3in inlet dual 2.5 outlet. You will be happy with it guys on here swear by magnaflow. I was looking for sound so I went with a super 40 on my 13 couldn't be happier with it. You should also look into the magnaflow y pipe.

Look up mufflex it's magnaflow muffler with pipes welded to designed to be a direct swap for the factory muffler

What Campb402 said is correct. The stock size is 3" in and dual 2.5" out.

Most guys go with either the 14" or 18" Magnaflow. Personally I'd recommend the 18" for an every day driver. Contact the guys at Bully's Performance (Formerly Discount Auto Performance). They'll make sure you get the right part number and hook you up with the best pricing.

^^ I believe those are still correct and that they haven't changed their names on the forum yet.

Does anyone have the drone affect? I really want the aggressive sound of the Magnaflow 14" but if it has a lot of drone I can go with the 18. Thoughts?

when i did my install with the 14" magna flow my exiting pipes were different sizes 1. 2 1/2 the other 2 1/4 dont know why but that was weird.

With the 14 you will have some drone, but not much if you stay out of mds. With my FM I get a little drone, but I like hearing my truck. If your cruising around 50 in 5th you can barley hear it until you gas it.

Some of my pipes were 2 1/4 to, but for the op 2.5 is still what you want the exhaust shop will fit it. Should also look into 5 inch tips they look great!

I think I am going to use the 2 in 2 out muffler with the Xpipe inside the muffler. I was going change the Y pipe but with this muffler it completely gets rid of it. Anyone done this set up?

SK-Ram 05-26-2013 01:59 AM

I had a 22" Magnaflow on my '13 for 4 months and made the switch to flowmaster catback today with a 50 series muffler, very happy I made the change.
