Wheel question

Hey guys, new to the forum here, just got my 2011 Ram 1500. Just wondering if anyone knew the biggest tire size I could put on a 17 in rim with everything stock? Input would be greatly appreciated

I know the widest you can go is 285 to avoid any rubbing. You're running 17's so I'm a little unsure on the aspect ratio you would need. I would guess you could run a 285/75/r17 which comes in at 33.8" tall.

Awesome, thanks :) I still have the stock 20's on but need to see if it would be more cost efficient to go down a few rim sizes

Yes, it's definitely cheaper to go down to 17's. I've heard of people saving over $1000 just by downsizing their wheel/tire set up.

285/70/17 is equal to your stock 20" tire at 33" overall. It is pretty much the largest tire without modifications like a level lift and what not.

i ran some 35x12.50's open countrys on my stock 17's with a 1/4 spacer on the front
