Shaking front end

Hi All,
I got a stock 04 2500 diesel.when driving on the freeway and hit a patch of bumpy road my front end shakes violently till I slow down then things are fine.Anyone know what it could be? I was thinking shocks?
Thanks

perhaps a broken tooth in your steering rack or a bad tie rod?

check your track bar bushings we have 2 05 2500 and that has been the cause of it on them

I posted a thread that could possibly help you, is it death wobble?

shaking front end

replace track arm bushings it will cure it

The research I did on the Dodge Death Wobble points to several areas of contributing to the shake. Ball joints to track bar bushings to steering box movement.

Check out the above post and check out You Tube vids. I have some work cut out for me as well on my '03.

it sounds like the "death wobble" my truck did the same thing. i went through my whole front end and it was all fine even had a steering alignment done and it still did it. mine was due to a bad steering stabilizer but be meticulous going through your front end. and you will find it. even poor alignment can cause the wobble.

I had to replace the steering links with a 2008 set and put on a fox stabilizer.
