Day Time Running Light Question

I just installed new Anzo U-Bar projector headlights on my 2012 RAM 1500. It is required by law for daytime running lights (DRL) to be on in Canada. However there are no lights on after I installed the lights. Does anyone know if DRL is not compatible with these lights and do I buy some type of module to have lights on during the day without having to put on night time lights on?

Do you have a picture of the headlights you installed?

I think for our friends up north use the high beams for the DRL. If that is the case do these new headlights have a separate high beam bulb?

If not then I suspect that is your problem.

What lamps did you have before the swap? Quads or duals? The reason I ask is the Anzo U-Bar is designed to run the same as the dual lamps where it uses the same H9 bulb for both high/low beam, so this may be the issue with the DRL circuit since the DRL circuit uses a low-voltage highbeam, which in the case of the single H9, is also the low beam output.

Yes, I guess you are correct, it uses the H9 bulb for both high and low beams. I think the original stock lights were quad.
thanks for the input. I guess I will have to get it wired to either have the headlights always on or wire it so the fog lights are always on.
thanks!

Just wire the halos to an ignition-on switch and you're legal. It's what some BMWs and Audis are doing for their DRLs, you just legally need a forward facing white or amber light operating during hours of daylight.

Perfect, thanks for the advice.
