Make my Ram fast!

I have a 2013 quad cab 1500 4x4 and love the truck so far. Looking for suggestions on really making this thing haul ass while still being my daily driver. obviously I will get tuning when available (Diablo) exhaust, intake, throttle body.
I am looking into gear swap 3.55's now:i_rolleyes: Not sure if 4.56 on the stock 20's is too low or should I go 4.10? What converter would be a good match? Just looking to get a plan together so I can start notching things off the list.

Do you have the 8 epeed. If you do there is no aftermarket converter for it. If you have a 6 speed then a edge or circle d 2600-2800 is perfect for everyday driving. I have 3.92 gears in mine with the 2800 to 3000
And all it wants to do is spin. Haha. Crappy goodyears. Add tuning and other supporting mods and its a beast. Best 0 to 60 is a 5.3 and thats with horrible tires and heavy rims..

If you have the 8 speed I don't know that I'd go to 4.56, or even 4.10's. I'd go 3.92/4.10's at the most. The 1st gear of the 8 speed is pretty low.

Yes forgot to mention 6 speed. Thanks for the info.

As far as I know they don't make a direct-fit 4.56 gear set for the '11-up trucks yet. A 2800-3000 stall converter would be a good choice as long as you don't tow a lot.

I just put a 2400 tc from edge today with 392's I would like to do a 2600-2800 but I tow whit it its rainy now I cant get on it now have to wait and see when i get nice weather you guys think it' makes a different from stock 2400 2600 2800 at the track and all around

A 2800 stall speed is fine for towing, if you tow real heavy with lots of hills, get a 1 ton cooler. You can get a set of ARH long tube headers and a ported TB, along with a CAI. I wouldn't go with 456's due to the amount of work to get them in the new housing, go with 410's, that is plenty of gear. You can do a 2-4 drop and put shorter tires to get a better overall gear ratio.

awesome man:smiley_thumbs_up: you're the first person I know of that swapped the TC on 13s'.. give us an update on how she runs

I have a 2800 stall behind my 4.7L currently, and it does fine in most situations even when towing. But when I towed ~4000 lbs to north carolina a few months ago going up the real steep and long hills the trans temps sky rocketed after about 10 minutes of holding half pedal. I'm swapping back to the stock converter(not solely for this reason though).
