Rear drivers side door lock

Another issue!
I realized today that the rear door lock won't function with the remote nor with the electric door lock.
It does work manually.
I've read the door lock actuator could be the problem.
Has anyone had this issue?
If so how did you fix it,seems pretty tight inside the door.

Thanks

I figured it out!
This is VERY important for 3rd owners
I check on the Internet, and and a guy with a ram 2500 had the same problem.
His door lock was giving him problems, then stopped working.
Also his speaker in the door wasn't working, again same as me!
He showed a picture where the wires are too tight in the boot and break.
I figured it couldn't be that easy. But it was!
I fixed the door lock, but the speaker still doesn't work.i hear some sound but no music.......that I will try to tackle later.
In my picture you can see that there a few wires that were damaged.
I put electric tape over the damaged ones and spliced the door lock.

For some reason I can't show the picture ,I'll try later.

Broken wires is a common problem on most vehicles with wire harnesses going to the door as they tyewrap the harness too tight not allowing for flexabilty accross the whole bundle and putting more pressure in a smaller area. I got my truck about 2 months ago and that was the first repair I had to do a few days later. It had already been repaired by someone else but not a good job as they once again tyewrapped it too tight.

Did you replace the harness,or just splice the broken wires?
I added the picture today.

I'm still confused about my radio.
I can hear the buzz from the rear left speaker, but no sound.
Also, when I put the fade to the rear , the speakers on the right side(front & back) work. Weird!
It's like the balance and fade are messed up.
Anyone have this problem?

Thanks

I just spliced mine. You could still have a broken wire for the speaker. You can unplug the harness at the door frame and pull the rubber boot off the wire harness and track the wire color for the speakers and do the tug test. The wire can be broke internally and when you pull the wire it will break the sheathing and show you where it is broke. Good luck with it.

Thanks namretsud,

I tried the pull test, everything seemed ok.
I'm stumped. I'm thinking if running new wires for the speakers...

Try using a meter to check for good continuity from the door frame plug to the speaker on both wires. The other reasonabily quick check is unplug the speaker and try one of the other ones.

I did the speaker change from one door to the other.
Both speakers work.
I thought about using the meter,do you know what setting it should be on?

I spoke to my brother,he is really good with these things. He found it really strange that the fade and balance were inverted. He said it might have something to do with the problem,he suggested running new wires from the speaker plug to the plug in the pillar. I just might wait to show him when I get a chance.

Thanks
