70mph rpm's

Ok so Im looking to see what everyones RPM's are while cruising at lets say 70mph. That seems too be a good number that everyone pays attention to their RPM's. I want to say mine are too high and I can't remember if they were lower before the tune.

I installed 91 oct tune from Diablo and the truck runs great. Seems little faster and more reponsive. I have the msd off right now and my 70mph RPM's are right at 1900-2000. Too me that seems little high.

I also feel the reason for this is that the truck is no longer going into 6th gear. Ive tried counting the gear changes a couple times to see but still unsure. I can however hit the manual change on the shift at cruise and the 5th gear number is what shows up.

Please let me know your thoughts and your numbers. Thanks

What gears do you have in it?

I know my 3.55 only runs around 1700.

Sounds like if its going strait to 5th it is missing the 6th gear. Take the tune off and take it in to see what they say.

Not sure about 70 but at 78 I run at 1940

I have the 3.92 gear. Yea I guess I'll load the stock tune back on. Would the tune take 6th gear out?

1700 for me also.

Well I just loaded the stock tune back and got the same 1900 at 70. I then loaded the 91 canned tune back and still get the 1900 with msd off but the 6th gear shows up. Maybe I missed the 6th gear showing up at one point no biggie. It seems 1900 is correct for me. I just figured it would be little lower.
