tpms concerns with xd crank

Another main concern is I buy these used xd cranks and they dont have tpms? Does anyone have experience with buying these? Do they come with tpms or will the ones from the stock wheels be able to transfer over? Thanks

Generally when you purchase wheels and tires they do not "automatically" come with TPMS you have to ask for that separately. With that said if they do not have the correct TPMS or none at all I see 3 options.

1. Turn off the TPMS sensor (this can be done with certain tuners on certain vehicles, i have also read somewhere that the dealer can turn it off)

2. Unmount the tires from your factory rims, pull the tpms out, un mount the tires from you new rims, install the tpms, 2 remount/balance tires.

3. Buy new TPMS ($160) and have them put in.

thanks
Jeremiah

Thanks Jeremiah, so you believe the stock ones may work?

The stock ones should work just fine, i took the stock ones out of my factory wheels and put the in my Ultras and it worked like a charm:)

Yeah but mine is a 2010. My mustang had tpms that were like welded to the wheel... My concern is since my truck is 2 years older its the same?

You should have no problem transferring them over.
