2013 Recall BCM

I was looking for information on the 2 year Maintenance package and went to Mopar Owner Connect and found a recall notice for my truck. I haven't gotten anything in the mail and I couldn't find anything here about it.

What the hell is a Body Control Module? and why does it need to be reprogramed?

generic answer

In automotive electronics, body control module is a generic term for an electronic control unit responsible for monitoring and controlling various electronic accessories in a vehicle's body. Typically in a car the BCM controls the power windows, power mirrors, air conditioning, immobilizer system, central locking, etc. The BCM communicates with other on-board computers via the car's vehicle bus, and its main application is controlling load drivers – actuating relays that in turn perform actions in the vehicle such as locking the doors or dimming the salon overhead lamp

If the Flash is interrupted, the person may think that they fried the BCM, ................ But they may be able to use this method of correction
2013 DS/DX (Ram 1500) BCM (Body Control Module) BCM Part Number cannot be read when attempting a re-flash after an abort

The FLASH may only be for the 2013 Inaccurate Temp Display Fix
Ramtech posted about it along with other information back in April

Bringing mine in to the dealer tomorrow for this. It is for trucks with the LED tail lights. If the blinkers go out nothing on the dash will indicate it. The new/reprogrammed module will alert the driver if their blinkers burn out.
