Bilstien install 2 success !

Well it was not that bad ,needed to remove the brake caliper ,bigger hammer for the steering linkage , I had level kit that was installed by dealer so it was a nightmare to get the strut out....once I did it was really a walk in the park ..I set them at 2.1 so see how I like it ...I would think that if you were going from bone stock to the 5100's it would be a 2.5 hour job at Most..:ura1:

Glad you got it figured out

any pics of the truck with the bilsteins installed?

Cat Daddy 06-30-2013 01:35 AM

See what I can do about the pics.....I am thinking I should have staid at 2.8 ..... May make the change tomorrow

Drove it around and grabbed dinner ....real tell the difference between the stock shocks and the Bilstiens ...now to add them to the rear !!!

wow great lookin truck my man.

congrat's on the DIY install...wasn't so bad huh? hahaha

be glad you didn't have the chance for the seized LCA strut bolts like us 3rd gen guys can run across. that put my truck out of commission for a week.

Cat Daddy 07-01-2013 12:37 PM

Thanks , picks from my phone socould have been better ...install was not bad once I got a BIG hammer and dropped the brake caliper ...lol..now that I have broken the post a pic issue I'll post a few when I change the tires and jump to 2.8
