Whistle from front end?
This whistling is making me crazy....!

I've got a high pitched whistle coming from the front end of my 2010 Ram, quad cab. Today I had someone else drive the truck so I could stick my head out the window like a dog, and the sound is definitely coming from forward of the front doors. Dodge already put the blocks in the weatherstipping because of the RRT/TSB. The sound really sounds like it's coming from the bumper. I "think" it started after they replaced the front bumper due to rust, but I can't be sure. I've tried masking off seams with painters tape (on the bumper and doors), but can't pinpoint it.
I'm thinking next step is to throw a bed sheet over the entire front end and start moving it back until I reveal the noise.

Anyone have any other ideas? It's making me mad............

Take a 3 inch wide piece of masking tape and fold it across the antenna top to bottom.

Take it for a ride and then listen to see if it changes. If so, swap the antenna and remove the shortie.

Oh does it have the short antenna?

If you got a shorty antenna that's most likely the culprit.

FOUND IT. Thank christ... It's taken my 6 months of complaining to finally put the effort into figuring it out.

Ends up, it is the plastic insert in the front bumper, below the license plate (where the tow hooks would go thru if you had them). I masked the whole front of the truck and slowly and methodically backed off the masking until I heard it. Looks like wind was getting between it and the bumper.

For now, I've just pulled the insert out. I'll apply silicone around it before putting it back in. I may also look for some kind of mod to do to it before it goes back in, like LED lights in it or something. Any ideas?

P.S. Thanks for the effort on that post Warlock, I appreciate the time and effort you took to do the research (I failed to mention that I did the same searching and had ruled that stuff out already - my bad).
