Front and rear door speakers

I have 2012 ram 1500 crew. I wanna put 6x9 in all the doors but need help on finding the right speaker to put in them. Any suggestion will be great

Well first off, are you running a sub or are you just relying on the speakers for your sound?

If you are using a sub I'd recommend going to a round speaker rather than an oval. You'll get better, clearer sound out of them. JL Audio is one of my favorite brands. I'd go with their 6.75" C2's that come with the crossovers and tweeters for the doors and their 3.5" C2's for the dash.

If you want to stick with the 6x9's then again, I'd recommend JL C2's. Had them in my previous car and they sounded absolutely amazing!!

I already have two kicker 8 under the rear seat. I'm just looking to up the highs a lot. Cause those 8 does make lot of noise in that truck.

If that's the case I definitely wouldn't go with 6x9's. As you said you want the high end and the clarity so a round speaker would be the way to go. There's a number of threads discussing this in the audio section right now. I stick with that I said about the JL C2's. 6.75" with tweeters in the doors and 3.5" in the dash. That would be a great set up for you

without diving head first into the audio threads, if i don't have dash speakers, and i want them, is it just a matter of popping the trim, and installing the speakers? or is it more in depth than that?

Takes 10 minutes just pop the trim and swap. I put 3.5 polks in and it made a huge difference

What do you mean if you don't have them? Did you or someone else take them out previously?

As 5hole said, all you have to do is pop off the grille cover, remove the OEM speakers, and install the new ones. Very simple.

I'm going to go ahead and let some of my ignorance show here. i thought only the alpine package had the dash speakers?

I used in my two door, which is same, the Kicker KS693 3 ways, HUGE improvement over stock.
