BellTech 2/4 Drop Kit Problems???

Hey Fellas, I installed the BellTech 2/4 drop kit about 8 months ago and after the install everything was fine, Truck was nice and tight. About a week ago (15K miles since install) I noticed the truck feels loose riding over bumps on the freeway.

Whenever I hit some bumps on the interstate if feels like the rear of the truck is wagging like a dog's tail if that makes any sense. Any thing I need to check or what you guys think? Thanks!!!

Mine did that wagging the day i installed it i had to put an adjustable panhard bar on and it stopped. If yo put it on 8 months ago im guessing you did not install the new bracket they have made i would first check everything to see if tight if so then order that bracket from them and try that.

Would this be the correct part to order?

BellTech contacted me today and say it sounds like the shocks are broken?

I took the truck to the dealer for some no related problems today -

*Battery wont hold charge
*Check Engine light on
*Black smoke coming from the A/C vents (Burnin plastic exhaust smell)
*Possible rear end recall???

All of this happened today, Truck was runnin great yesterday. I will update as soon as I hear from the service writer.

Ha g/l with the rear-end recall still dont have parts and let us know would not think broke shocks would make it wag i think it would sag. And look into that bracket again. As far as b/t telling you that well when i first put my kit on it was 1'' lower on the rear of the truck on drivers side guy tried to tell me it was my gas tank ummmm no lol they sent me a new spring and guess what FIXED so dont take what they tell you with a grain of salt.

Good luck at dealer let us know

Did you get the kit with shocks included, and if so which ones? The SP or Nitros? I've read the Nitros have had issues being faulty or wear out quickly.

I'm willing to bet this is the answer to your problem. The condition you're describing is the exact same that many have experienced after lowering. The bracket puts your panhard bar back at the correct parallel axis, allowing the bar to cycle with the suspension properly. Both the BT and Mcgaughys kits come with this bracket now, and always should have. I think if you purchased your kit less than a year ago (and have proof) BT will send you the bracket for free. The tech (ahem) that you dealt with at BT doesn't sound like he is aware of the bracket, or what he is talking about for that matter. Call them back and tell them you want to speak to someone who is experienced with the RAM suspension, even if you have to wait on a return call. It may take some phone tag/ emails. Or just pony up and buy it if you don't want the hassle, good luck!

Dead battery was throwing the check engine light, Truck is fixed and running great. Now just need to fix the belltech issue.

I'll try to get ahold of them but if not I'll just buck up and buy the part.
