2011 Ram 3500 DRW "Death Wobble"

I have a 2011 Ram 3500 DRW 4x4 with 13,321 miles on it. I purchased the truck new. Back from a trip, I hit a pothole with the right front tire and all hell broke loose. I was going 40 mph at the time, in heavy traffic when the truck started violently shaking. I applied the brakes (as I have done in the past) when the front end started shaking, the truck started bouncing, front and back and I could not control the vehicle. Once my speed dropped below 5 mph I was able to steer the truck to the side of the road. The truck was towed to the nearest Chrysler dealer, and they eventually replaced the steering stabilizer. My truck was laid up for 12 days, at two (2) different dealers, and it still has the wobble. The wobble is not as severe because of the "New" Stabilizer, but the problem is still there, just being masked. Sorry for the long first post. Any Ideas... Warranty is still good.

once dw occurs, you need to go look at every nut and bolt and make sure every hole is not out of round on every component. keep going back and lemon law this if they won't fix this. much more info on jeepforum about dw.

also, if you find any loose, and not of round, it needs to re torqued to spec.

Excellent advice

that is excellent advice. My case was being handled by someone in St Louis. Now they have changed my case number, and moved to Warren MI.

Round #3 - Bell rings. While at home for lunch, I get this call from Chrysler. Seems like case worker #2 was replaced by case worker #3. Mike from Chrysler said he has taken over my case and will look into it. He will make arrangements for my truck to be taken to the dealer that I purchased it from. This is the same thing that case worker #2 had said...

Question for you Ram owners... Should I "Really" start to complain now, or let them keep playing their game? I have been complaining, but not to the point of yelling... I really don't want to go there. Please advise.

Yelling will probably set you back. If you are persistent and act the friendly guy and intelligent guy it will take you farther faster. IMHO as a customer service guy.

Been going through the exact same thing with ram for about 2 months now and they have repalced everything ball joints, stabilizer, tie rod ends etc... now after the 3rd time they finally agreed to let me put in heavy duty ball joints and all new front end components because the DW is a know issue now with ram in their heavy duty trucks and " they are working on a solution". it finally took 2 months and alot of down time but she is finally fixed. Ram allows so much play in their ball joints and front end parts that unless they are clunking or out of specs you will have to fight to get em replaced. Good luck with it it will be a fight till the end but once they fix it all you should be good. Also have them replace your track bar because that was the first thing that went on mine. First set of joints and track bar i had done at 18,000 miles, sencond set at 28,000 miles, 3rd time was tie rod ends, heavy duty stabilizer, and steering linkage at 40,000 now again all new ball joints, wheel bearings, tie rod ends again, stabilizer ,and track bar 48,000 miles
