Downgrading 2010 RBZ 430 Firmware?
My RBZ skips over half the music files I load onto the hard drive. It doesn't matter what bitrate they are, MP3 or M4A, how they are named or how they are tagged. I took my truck to the dealership and they have no idea what I'm talking about and kind of just brushed me off.

So I figured the vehicle is 3 years old, there must be a firmware update. My firmware was 08.05.01 with System 0101. I installed firmware 10.00.11 which did not fix the problem. Now when the radio boots I have a huge JEEP logo with a Chrysler wallpaper.

Is there a way to downgrade to the previous firmware? Are there any official updates to my particular firmware? I can't get the dealership to answer this for me either.

If someone can answer this also, why does the unit play some tracks and skip over others?

double check on this

your RBZ uses a HIGH SPEED Electrical BUS
not the low speed bus

I believe that the latest update is version 33.01.23
there seems to be a TSB #08-057-12 ( Technical Service Bulletin ) that the dealership can do for you, this May be for the 2012 models only

open this, it explains it

also look at this site
on the left side of the page, you will see
Media Center 430 (RBZ) Manual, click on it

Your radio will play the following formats:
MP3, WMA, AAC, M4A, CD Audio, DVD Audio, and DVD Video.

to change the picture on your screen, page 60 in the manual
press the MENU hard key
Touch the MY FILES hard-key to go to the Manage My Files screen.
Touch the My Pictures soft-key to get an overview of
the images currently stored on the Hard Disk Drive

you can contact Chrysler about the radio update version for yours
they may ask for your VIN# & current mileage

Contact Us
800-CHRYSLER (800-247-9753)
M-F 8:00AM - 8:00PM ET

you will again need your VIN & mileage

Thanks. I tried to update to 33.01.23 the same way I updated to 10.0.11 but my radio won't read the disc.
