Non-Ethanol fuel

A gas station near me offer none ethanol gas. I thought about running a tank every now and then. Not sure how much it is per gallon. What it benefit me to do that?

There are a few gas stations in my area that have non ethanol gas and that's all I run if I can help it, I get better gas mileage with non ethanol gas and its same price as normal gas in my area

You will get better mileage. Ethanol contains less energy than gasoline, so even if it is only 10% ethanol, you will see a mileage penalty. All engines are designed to run on E10, so I don't think you will see any other benefit.

i would love to try ethanol free gas in my truck. not available in the tri state area.

I WISH the ethy free gas was the same price per gallon here. but it is anywhere from 20-40 cents more a gallon then the regular ethy gas

Most Philips 66 Stations offer ethanol free in my area. Usual 87 and 91 Octane. I use gas buddy app and more times than not its very close to the same price as the 10% corn gas

I get better gas mileage with it too. And use it often, but its usually 10-20 cents more a gallon. And 89 is 15 a gallon more than 87 so its pretty costy around here. But when prices change sometimes they're about the same and I'll get it for awhile. Theyre slow on price changes. Lol

So......those handful of stations that sell so called "no ethanol" gas, do they get their gas from a handful of refineries that don't blend it in?

Reyther 07-13-2013 05:56 PM

When I moved to anchorage I noticed a small increase in MPG since it is all E-free up here. Other then that, no differences.

sefrayser 07-13-2013 06:16 PM

I think its the 93. I have found 3 stations around me and 2 of them have the Ethanol free 93 octane.
