To Vararam or not?

Ok I currently have a Mopar CAI with the dry filter. I am happy with it, but thinking about going with a Vararam. Should I? HP increase possibly? Also what do you think my Mopar CAI is worth. Its in awesome condition. Thanks.

Looks great Arth!

If you already have a mopar intake, I wouldn't wast $400 on a varaam, unless you really have a hard on for the way it looks. I would bet a weeks pay that you won't notice a seat of the pants gain between the 2. However, if you decide you want it, I'll PayPal you $50 for your mopar right now.

Just me, but I would sell the MOPAR, go back to stock box w/ a HP panel filter, and use any money earned towards a mod that will make a REAL difference in performance. CAI guys flame away! :poopstorm:

Keep the Mopar CAI, forget the V.

Yeah. I've got a Vararam, and I don't know. Kinda on the fence. I do notice the truck seems to pull harder through WOT passing, but not enough (like ANY CAI out there, I'd imagine), that it's a hugely noticeable difference. It's almost like the same feeling after you wash your truck...it just 'runs' better, right? *Or is it in your mind?* I might have to agree with RAM EM above....sell your Mopar unit if you're looking for a switch, and go back to the stock, 100% enclosed, 100% cold-air factory unit and drop in a nice dry high-flow filter from somewhere (Green? K&N?), and take the cash from that sale and get a catch-can, tuner, or whatever. The Vararam is a cool-looking unit, but kind of flimsy. Don't know if I like how the air dam on it covers a portion of the radiator, either. Good luck, dude.
