88 D100 Fuel line from filter to carb question

I was trying to get the carb removed from my 88 D100 5.9L 360 and stripped the "flare fitting-tube nut." Now that I have the proper tool for the job (flare nut wrench) I can't get it off. I thought, before ruining it further, I should to get the replacement part and ran into another issue. How do I replace the fuel line from the fuel filter to the carb? If the nut is stripped it doesn't look like I can just replace that part, as the line is flared at the nut to hold it on. I suppose I could buy all the tools and a new fuel line and bend it all myself to match. Is there an easier way?

I'd get a fuel line fitting that'd thread into the carb inlet and allow a rubber fuel line to connect to it with screw clamps. Then either cut the stripped nut off the metal line or run rubber line all the way to the filter. Then there's the salvage yard for a replacement if ya just gotta have an original. Something like this:

Autozone rents/loans a flaring tool kit but it can be purchased for around $20-30.
