Just purchased a 2005 Ram PU (115k miles) 4x4 from my son to replace my 95 F150 300 I6 that just passed 250k (Rust). My first car was a 48 Chrysler and I've owned a few Mopars over the years.
It rides and handles well for a truck and the Hemi is great. I like the interior and it seems a lot better built than the Fords and Chevys of the same era. My son loved the truck but he changed jobs and needed something that got better gas mileage. Considering the trucks size and power the 15 mpg I'm getting doesn't seem too bad. I will be changing out the brakes, checking the wheel bearings, and changing all the fluids to synthetic before the warm weather leaves us. The passenger wiper is inoperative but thats an easy fix.
I've already named it Silver Streak. At least I can keep up with the wifes LT1 Caprice Wagon now.
