how to make my stock speakers better

Pulled this off my build sheet:

RAAC All Radio Equipped Vehicles
RCGS 6 Speakers
RDDP Fixed Long Mast Antenna
RESS Uconnect 130 AM/FM/CD/MP3
RSCS SIRIUS Satellite Radio
RSUP Audio Jack Input for Mobile Devices

Its not great. There's no bass or anything. Would would be the quickest way to upgrade this just a little bit? I don't intend to spend a bunch.

simplest solution is the route I went with my GMC. I kept the stock speakers, but put some sound deadener in the doors and other locations where the speakers are (I bought the cheap stuff, and didn't go crazy with covering everything

then I got a line output converter for the stock radio and installed a basic sub in a basic underseat custom box. It wasnt audiophile grade by any means - but it was a heck of an improvement, and I spent less than $400 to get it all done.

Later, I did replace the door speakers with better component ones, but lower power models since I was only using the factory deck.

again, I probably spent $550 over the course of 3 months, but it worked fine for me.

Do you want betetr door speakers, or more sub, or all?
If it's the base system, get one of these Kicker Factory Fit systems, has a 4.1 amp to power factory speakers, adds a 200w sub under seat, all factory plug and play harness, no adapters.

We make them for a ton of cars now, Ford, Dodge, Ram, GMC, cars and trucks.

Gotta love this country. Have and idea - make a business. If I got off my but more often with my ideas, I'd probably be too busy spending money to post on forums about what I wish someone would invent! lol.

A new head unit is a great place to start, even a cheaper pioneer will make a nice improvement. If you want more, add in some better 3.5 dash speakers, I used the kicker ks3.5 and I'm very happy and they were around $40 on eBay. Then I added some pioneer 6x9 in the doors and then A single 12 kicker CVR in a sealed box to spec for the bass.

I'm happy with how it all turned out. 1000000x better than stock!!

Does kicker make any mini amps, like the alpine power pack that can usually fit behind a head unit?? I've been thinking about amping my mids here lately. Mod bug, it gets you the worst when your trying to save. Haha

Do it piece-by-piece. Start with the front door speakers. Put a decent 6x9 or 6.5" in there. Make sure they are efficient -- unless you pan on adding an amp later.

Any idea on the cost of the Kicker upgrade?
