Dipped Grille & Tailgate Emblems, Exhaust Tips
Decided to dip the ram head emblems on grille and tailgate. Also did exhaust tips ... not sure if it will hold up by liking the look so far. I was skeptical on using dip on emblems vs getting them custom painted. I will see if it grows on me or not. Dipped my front Gator tag too (it was silver and black).

I didn't take the emblems off ... masked and taped the areas around the emblems. I also used the glossifier (3 coats) on the emblems.

Looks great!!! I have my rams dipped too.

As for the exhaust tips, I had mine dipped. And they held up for about 4 months no problem, they just stay too dirty and look gray. And when I decided to use high temp paint to make them glossy and clean, the dip was i guess you could say baked on and I had to use some sand paper to take it off. Just giving you a heads up!!

Looks good man. I just did my grill and rear ram emblem as well. I removed my emblem though. I still don't know why 2009 Sports have a chrome grill. Who at Chrysler thought that was a good idea lol. Looks way better dipped black.

Paint thinner will remove the plasti dip from your tips if its baked on

Yeah dip is holding up well on exhaust tips ... almost looks powder coated with it baked on their now. I took of the dip on front license plate and painted it a hammered black.
