% of Sticker

Hello, I am in Northeast Ohio and am looking at a 2013 2500 Crew Cab Laramie, Diesel.

Can anyone tell me a reasonable percentage off of sticker? I've looked at ebay and at other dealer sites and 17.3% seems to be a typical percentage off of sticker.

I've gotten several internet quotes less than that. But,one dealer gave me a quote on a Loghorn Laramie and it was 22.8% off of sticker but it was a 2012 Demo and she gave me employee pricing which I don't qualify for. So of course when I called the price was much different! I guess she wanted to hear my voice! Lol!

My 2500 was 24.5% off the sticker, it was a carryover which I picked up in may of this year.

Ask to see their invoice sheet. Then shoot for 1k under their invoice price.

Anything near 15% to 20% is better than that. It used to be invoice was about 10% above dealer cost, now its closer to 5 or 6%. Of course if Chrysler starts throwing in incentives and rebates, that 5% or 6% goes out the door.

Well thanks dodge man. I almost forgot I sold cars for a living. You wont get dealers to go that far under invoice. The max we go is 1500 under invoice and nobody will match us.

How are they going 20% under? Huge incentives from Ram?

I actually dont sell dodge or ram, but the entire car business works the same. Dealer profits = price over invoice+holdback. We take total losses on cars all the time. New car dealers get fat bonuses if they sell X amount of new cars each month.

Although I am in Canada and prices are alot different I got 24.5 off of the 13 sport I just bought, truck was reg. 53500 plus tax, the incentives were 9250 from Chrystler + 1500 if you own a truck or are a trades person, the dealer was waving the freight ($1700) and giving 500 bucks towards a tonneau cover, I had them out that 500 bucks against the truck as I can buy A good tonneau cover for 300 bucks on sale instead of using the 500 towards a low end mopar one. so in total it was 12945 off the sticker price of 53,500. Again prices are higher up here (just look at the freight charge for instance)

Hey BIGHEMI04,
can you give me the game plan to get the best deal?
I just began shopping for a 1500 ...
want crew cab 4x4 and have a list of options I'd like.
It hasn't been easy to figure out dealer cost though.
So, How do I break it down to where I can get the absolute best deal and
just go by dealer to pick up the truck?
