Creaking

I have recently picked up a 2003 quad cab 4x4. It has 115000 miles on it. My question is this. There is a lot if creaks and groans in the suspension when at low speed. Going over speed bumps or turning things of that nature. No grinding or squeaks just creaks and groans. Best I can describe it. Any big worries here??

congrats on getting such a low mile truck in that year. nice find. it sounds to me like the bushings have dried out have you greased the front end? i have had creaky shocks i changed the rubber bushings and it fixed my problem. if you want to locate the creaks and groans lay under the truck and have a friend or two slowly bounce the truck and see where it comes from.

Yes, yes. What ^^^mb^^^ said. Get a can of WD40 with the aiming straw on it. The WD40 will go a long way in finding the squeaks. It won't cure them, but it will make them go away for a minute so you can isolate the squeak.

I have not had time to hunt for them. The dealership said they had greased it. Gonna check myself. I am really happy with the milage. I upgraded from a 2000 Dakota quad cab that had 248000. I keep them running :). When I get a day off I will be hunting creaks. :)

I might get lucky. As I am driving it some it is not making too much noise. Maybe just needed some road love.

those bushings aren't to much might cost maybe 60-80 bux for all of them
it is possible that driving it might help it.

I am going to check it all out still
