Eco Diesel Delay

So I was talking to a Chrysler Dealer today. Told me that there will be delays in the eco diesel.. Told me that they are hearing no availability until 4q 2014 because of shortages.

Fleet sites are showing no current restrictions.

Exactly.

F what dealer tell u, they don't know jack. I'll believe it when I see it come from Chrysler.

I wonder if all models includes different engines? They may be saying no restrictions because those models are still available with different engines.

I hope you're all are right because my 96 Cherokee won't make it to next year...

that links tells me nothing. There is so much BS on the net about all this who knows whats true. Sure there is no restrictions on what you can order but as we all know from reading on here it does not mean you will actually get it.

The link signifies to fleets that if you plan on ordering anything, this is what is going to cause significant delays to delivery due to part holds. That gives consumers a heads up on what will hold them up as well.

Sorry to say that order backlogs happen. Especially at the start of a model year and especially one where people actually like the product

Which so much info/marketing already out for 2014 ram 1500 Ecodiesel. Delay till 4th quarter of 2014 that just doesn't make any sense... That would make it a 2015 model....

mopar44o 08-02-2013 12:42 AM

Well that's what I said. I talked to another dealer and he said looks like no orders to first quarter of 2014. So even there you're half way through the model year... If that's the case I'll try my luck and wait till they clear out 2014 for 2015.

Just seems like a bad bad way to stumble out of the gate and shoot yourself in the foot. Especially with the hype of this new engine.
