Bought a new truck
I traded my 2011 1500 hemi in for a 2013 2500 Hemi. It is the ST model as I did not want anything fancy. All I wanted was more leg room in the back and a heavier duty frame. They came down to $31,000 for me just in case anyone is interested. It does have the 3.73 rear end where my 1500 had the 3.92. Hopefully the six speed transmission will make up for that. Oh and my payment dropped one dollar.

nice, congrats! i actually just did exactly the same thing, i had a 2011 ram sport quad cab and traded for a 13 big horn crew hemi with a 6 speed and 3.73. im kinda apprehensive about gas mileage numbers but am so far really happy with how the new truck drives compared to the half ton. oh, and the 8.4a is freaking sick... if only it came with better speakers and a better amp on the lower optioned models.

That's a nice looking truck. Mine is basically a work truck with a few options. I'm at the age where I do not need all that stuff yet. I don't really like electronic things. The only thing I wanted was the backup cam and that's what I got.

put some rims on that ****er and lift it!

Parkersdad 08-05-2013 06:22 AM

No. I'm done with lifting. I'm using it for pulling more so than anything.

I agree with you about the ST. I thought about the other stuff, but when it was all done with, I needed the Crew Cab, Diesel and 4x4... everything else was just cosmetics.

I did go out and get new wheels though before the week was over. Even just changing out the wheels made a world of difference in the look to me. oh and I added steps and bull bar.... so my cosmetics are on the outside. I haven't gotten the new tires yet, but I will probably do so after a year or 2 of use. I too bought mine for towing trailer as the main purpose of the truck.

oh and I paid $38k on mine...which is about right.... + $7k for the diesel engine.

Here is a pick of mine. Someone mentioned the huge badges... I actually plasti dipped mine black on the gray truck and I love the look.
