Didn't hold much hope BUT!!!!!

We pulled the chain on my new DODGE RAM 1500 Laramie Longhorn (2013 ed).

Here are the particulars:
Color Deep Cherry with the Gold two-tone
5.7 Hemi
8spd Tranny
3.92 Rear end
Anti-spin differential
Keyless Enter-n-Go
4-corner suspension
and it is a 4x4

Now here comes your fun. I am not bragging but out the door it was just under 40k did I do well? The MSRP was 53,420 we traded a 2004 Nissan Armada with 47,107 miles on the original owner.

How did I do?:smiley_thumbs_up: :Wow1: :4-dontknow:

That's a good price. I paid 44k for mine and thought I got a decent deal. Good find.

if that included your trade, looks like you only got about 3 grand for it.

It built out at $52k, USAA was $42k before taxes etc.. back to $49k with a $10k trade back to $39k so depending on how you want to look $13k from build price and the bottomline the wife is happy with the deal and she is a banker by profession lol

Sounds like you got a pretty good deal on a good looking truck.

The true bottom line, and really the only one that matters is if you feel as though you got a good deal.... None of us will be having to pay for it....

Your right and after I posted I reminded myself of my own motto of work the deal and be happy with what you accept. It just came on the tail end of the usual dealer haggle. I presented my bottomline to them in an email early Tuesday morning but had to go back into the dealership and let them do their manager dance. At one point I looked at the figures and what they were offering in trade and I asked the "Sales Manager" do you guys use Kelley Blue Book? He said yes and your Armada is in Good condition. BANG I had him committed to figures that we already had. While in the end both sides I am positive are happy with the deal, it was good to pull a fast one on them even if it was a small victory.

Actually I love USAA they financed my boat earlier this year and it was painless. This truck though is going to be through the dealer because they could beat USAA (2.99 for 72) vice 3.75 for the same.

Strange I never thought that I would say that a dealer could beat USAA but they are.
