Start-Stop Technology

What models/trim levels offer the Start-Stop option (XBU) ? Does anyone have this, what has been your experience and MPG (please include your engine and rear end ratio) Thanks

I thought it was only the HFE. Only comes in regular cab 4x2. My dealer has had one on his lot for a long time, apparently not that popular around here.

Start Stop is inherently unsafe. If there is an emergency situation, you are sitting like a dead duck in traffic with a dead motor. Milliseconds count in a life death scenario.

I don't know.. I haven't test drove the HFE Ram but I have driven an ECO Malibu and it had start stop.. it was very fast. I wasn't able to catch it unless I REALLY tried and even then it was quick to respond.

Start/Stop was supposed to be on any Hemi/8-Speed Ram but I think they kept it just to the HFE model because they wanted just one to get 25MPG for advertisement purposes and it really didn't save that much on any of the other trucks.

I doubt it will become very big once the Ecodiesel lands.
