Brake Pads

Hey guys,

just wondering if anyone has any recommendations on front brake pads for our trucks.

Just hit 80km and they need to be done, going to do them this weekend just wondering if anyone knows a good long lasting pad that doesn't produce too much brake dust preferably. (doesn't look good on the chrome sport rims)

I'm in Ontario, Canada too, so something I can pick up from Canadian Tire, Parts Source, or something along those lines would be ideal.

Cheers!

I like EBC, bit likely not going to get them at canadian tire.

also look at hawk performance...they are low dust.

I got my Wagner Thermo Quiet semi-metallic pads from Parts Source ... $98

Wagner Rotors were on sale a Canadian Tire a couple weeks ago for $70 ($30 off)

If you want them cheaper, Rock Auto has great pricing out of the U.S.

Another vote for the EBC pads.

I have them on three of our vehicles.

I did my rotors and pads around 85,000 kms and replaced them with ATE brand from Canadian Tire. I have no complaints with them at all and I feel like they are way better than stock.

My son just replaced pads and rotors on all four with just 40,000 kms. The rotors were warped with rusty areas. The sympton was a pulsating feel when applied brakes. Anyone elese experience the same. I have 42,000 kms on my truck and I am styarting to feeel the same thing. Seems a bit premature for brake replacement.

Yes many 09' and 10' Rams have been reporting warped rotors
...much more common in northern climates with temperature fluctuations.

My pads were prematurely worn to within 1/8" partially due to warped rotors at just 36K kms.

2010 RamHemi 4x4 Qcab @ 61,000 miles, i`m still running the factory OEM brakes, pads hardly worn, rotors are still decent. I usually get around 100,000 miles out of my OEM brakes before i need any new ones. When i do need them, i`ll go with EBC or BrakMaster. Neither one has ever let me down. Low dust, great rotors. Excellent customer reviews and satisfaction.
