35 12.50 on stock 1500 with torsion bars tightend??????
I want to put a set of 35 12.50on my 1500. I have 285/60s right now, no clearence or turning issues with them. just want to find out if the 35s will give me any issues. And if so what do I need wheel spacers ect.???
depending on how much lift you get out of tightening the torsion bars...have you done it? how much lift?
On the 06-08 trucks with a 2-2.5" level you can clear those size tires with a 1/4" spacer. So if you get enough lift without compromising the rest of your suspension, you should be able to run those. Might have to shop around for a 35" tire that runs small. what i mean is fore example:
35x.12.5x20 Nitto Trail Graps are really like 13.2" wide or something like that...they are OVER sized.
whereas my 35x12.5x17 Federals aren't even a full 12" wide. So one would clear fine, the other brand would rub. Nothing a little trimming can't fix, or avoid full lock turns
I have an 05 cranked up all the way with 325 65 18 they are 34.8"x12.5x18 and the only rubbing that I run into is at full lock they rub on the front mud flaps. Granted I went with the slightly larger keys so I get close to three inches and have a 1" block in the back. but that is just so they don't look too crammed in there.
