x or h pipe?
I've heard that doing an x or h pipe does wonders for your exhaust setup. I've been thinking on doing one of these but just not sure which one. Is anyone running one of these setups and if so how do you like it? Do they make it any louder? I'm running BBK headers and cherry bomb extreme mufflers and if I do one of these setups will it make it ever louder? Thanks for the help

There won't be much of a difference between a good x, h, and y pipe setup. So most go with a y pipe because it's significantly cheaper. But any would work well.

I'm assuming you're running a true dual set up?

If so then yes, you want either an X pipe or a H pipe. There has been many posts on this subject throughout the forum. There is a particularly good one by Grubrunner explaining the differences between an X and H pipe. That post is definitely worth finding.

To sum it up. An X pipe gives you better flow by scavenging exhaust from either side of the system. An H pipe equalizes the pressure between both sides of the system to allow better flow.

if you already have true duals an H is really easy to do for any exhaust shop...

So would a x pipe or h pipe givw me better torque on my 2013 cc with true dual 2.5 with super 10's

i would but a X or H, just to even out the flow between the two banks, will also improve flow and sound.

for best results put the X or H pipe as close to the cats/manifolds as you can, better flow. (around where the old Y-pipe use to be)

I went with pacesetter mid length headers and a magna flow x-pipe muffler; it has great sound and saves space from having to install x-pipe and mufflers.
