Laramie Longhorn Wheels

Love the Laramie Longhorn wheels. Think the dealer would swap them out for my 20 inch chrome clads on my '14 XLT that is on order. Better yet, can they be optioned ? :i_rolleyes:

Thanks,

Randy

I doubt they will swap them out, and there is no way to option them. Your best bet would be to find someone selling theirs.

Yeah, I like them too and tried to get the dealer to swap them. No dice. Not an option either.

Swapping wheels

I also asked a dealer to swap wheels from the 17" chrome clad to anything 20". They said they would not and had been burnt in the past doing so. They also stated that it may be a liability for them if something happened.

On another note, my dad bought a 2012 RAM Cummins at a larger dealer and they swapped wheels for the aluminum uplevel for him. So, who knows?

Main reason they dont swap them is for warranty purposes, if you had a problem with a wheel and the truck came with 17s from the factory thats what would be covered, not the 20s. Same for the guy who ended up with the 17s that are on your truck that was supposed to come with 20s.

Not to mention the cargo capacity will be affected and the tire sticker will be wrong if you are going to different tire sizes. Same size tires you may be able to get away with if the dealer really wants to sell something or they have some take off wheels from something they put aftermarket wheels on.

I would check out the for sale items on this forum, I seen several sets of these for sale on here. Otherwise you'll end up paying a whole lot of money.

I thought XLT was a Ford.
