Ordered a 2014 Laramie Limited

Well, I completed my negotiation and ordered my truck this week. Although my parents have owned 2 Dakotas, this is my first Ram. I'll be selling/trading my 2007 Tundra, which I love, except for its ride and the now really dated interior and electronics. I'm amazed at the resale on it though. Trade in value is $23k and I think I'll be able to get $26-27k if I can find time to sell it myself before the new truck arrives. My Tundra is really quick and the throttle response is crazy. I'm hoping the 8-speed Hemi with the 3.92 rear end will be similar.

I ordered the Ram with the following:

Laramie Limited Trim 4x4 Crew Cab
Deep Cherry Red
3.92 w/LSD
Sunroof
Ram Box

The order was submitted last weekend and now I'm anxiously awaiting the email notification from Ram.

Sounds like a great truck! Hope you got a great deal on it. Good you have something good to trade in. My neighbor also has a Tundra and I really like that truck, just not enough truck for what I want the truck to do.

Congrats on the new truck! Have ordered the same trim, like you it's going to be a factory order, the wait begins!

I feel good about my deal. I got $1,200 off invoice. I was trying to get a locked in deal for my future trade but they wouldn't go for it. Like others who have 2014s on order, I'm hoping for some rebates or incentives to be in force when the truck gets delivered.

Real nice truck. Use it well.

My ordered truck is similar but with the 3.21 rear turned by the 8 speed auto. I also special ordered it with 2012 wheels and grill. I won't be towing anything over 10,000 pounds anytime soon so fuel economy was more of a consideration. With wars and tension breaking out in around the Middle East, fuel prices are not going to be dropping any time soon. I don't need my monthly fuel payments to exceed my truck payments.

What $1200 incentive did U get?

I think there is a loyalty rebate available for prior Chrysler Corp vehicle original owners.

did you get a 6'4" or 5'7" box?

I don't think he is referring to an incentive, but rather the dealer giving him $1,200 of the holdback, which for a $50k truck is in the neighborhood of $1,500

I carry only short cadavers so all I needed was the 5"-7" box. I needed the large rear doors for the grieving family to have easy entrance and egress from the crew cab. I find trucks better than a conventional hearse. Man, the folks really go for the reach Corinthian leather in the Ram! The dead don't give a dam either way.

Yes, they gave me $1,200 of the holdback. I got the 5'7" bed.

The email from Ram came day before yesterday. The web page link to the VOTS is certainly impressive.
