First tank of fuel (MPG) - 2013 Hemi
Well I got my new truck a week ago tomorrow and have already spent the 1st tank of fuel and have hand calculated the results

2013 Ram 1500 Sport, Quad Cab, Hemi, 6 speed, 3.92 gearing, loaded,
121 Litre tank ( 32 Gallons US)
Ran 87 octane and will continue to do so.
Had a whole 52 (31 miles) kms on it last Tuesday when I picked it up and now has just over 750 kms (465 miles) I topped it up at about 100 miles just so I could figure out my MPG as I have always kept a mental note of my MPG

I have driven the truck in about the same manor that I do my 04, for the last week I have had near the same route of driving as I would in my 04 other than I towed a 3000+ pound trailer for about 30 kms ( 19 miles) and did a bit more city "crusing" than normal, my city vs hwy driving was probably about even at 60/40.

with about 650 kms (403 miles) on this current tank and the DTE saying 80 kms(50 miles) that puts me at about 730 kms for the tank which is about where it has said (between what I had driven and the DTE) for the majority of the tank.

This puts me at 17.1 MPG IMP (14.25 US) hand calculated (I do this on the fly while driving, its an obsession to know for me) This is a whole 1.6 MPG better than my 04 HEMI sport with 3.92's was under same conditions minus the towing, so the new one may have been a bit better yet under exact same conditons. I am pleased by this and hope is goes up as the truck breaks in. At 160 bucks per fill up I cant afford to cruise around town every night just for fun for much longer LOL

I will be doing about 600 kms on the hwy this coming weekend so it should be a decent idea of how it is on the hwy compared to the 04 ( My 04 gets about 18 mpg IMP on the hwy (15 mpg US). MY gf and I just did this same drive in my 04 about 3 weeks ago so it will be a very good comparison.
