"Power Folding Rearview Mirrors"

This is how the build sheet reads on the 2014 Laramie and SLT. Are the rearview mirrors "Power Fold?" I think this is a misprint. The mirrors only fold manually?

The standard 6x9 mirrors power fold. The optional trailer tow mirrors do not.

I was at the dealer today. They had just received a new 2014 Laramie with standards mirrors. They swear the mirrors to not power fold. Where is the activation button for power folding?? Even the dealer seemed confused.

I must be confused...i thought you were "in the process of"...what build sheet? the codes are in alphabetical order...not all related items are all together...for example..mine says

GUKP Power heated mirrors, fold away
GVBC All vehicles w/power mirrors
LEBP Ext. Mirrors w/supplemental signals
LECP Exterior Mirrors Courtesy lamps...and most important of all (imho)
LERP Power Folding Mirrors

Having said all that, the "sticker" shows "manual folding"....BUT...reading the disclaimer carefully, that would be "unless re[placed by optional equipment"......I ordered the LUXURY Group...included (amongst a whole bunch of other stuff) are Power folding mirrors...theres no doubt in my mind what Im getting...

Some confusion. The dealer just called me and said they spoke to their factory rep who verifies that the side view mirrors do "power fold." It sounds standard on the Laramie and probably part of the luxury group option on other models. I'm trading in my 2010 Ram Laramie which did not have power folding mirrors.

Sounds about right...I spent alot of pleasant time "doing my homework" when i decided to buy a '14...I then discovered, that even tho there wasnt any info re 14's "out there" I knew more about what I was doing than TWO of the dealers i spoke to....as good luck would have it, I wound up ordering it from the local guy...who actually DID know what he was doing....we worked on it together, and the price was right....so either the unit they had was a fluke, or they didnt know how to operate em...or something.....good luck to you...

The button for power fold is on the door between the buttons that select which mirror you want to adjust.

Anyone trying to order the power folding side mirrors who has a package that provides a chrome back to the mirror will not be able to get the power option. Strange policy but that is what Ram explained to me.

Why chrome precludes power folding feature is a good question.

I could have sworn I just read that someone reported just today that the chrome was power folding on the truck they just received. I cant find the post.....terrible memory....was it Darwin?

Here is the thread... http://www.ramforumz.com/showthread.php?t=151987

Mirrors are power folding even with chrome, unless you order the tow package or tow mirrors. Larger tow mirrors are manual fold.

Here is an example of the tow mirrors in chrome. http://www.web2carz.com/images/mmy/2...63_700x467.jpg

Here are the power folding. http://wot.motortrend.com/2013-ram-1...#axzz2eG4duWLp

I know both of these are 2013's but they are exactly the same on the 2014's
