truck stuck in park

The problems never end :( ... Well I got my truck all fixed up or so I thought. They claimed it was perfect after I complained over and over that they should check the fluids which they didn't. I drove the truck home from the mechanic and parked it, now its stuck in park. Any idea?

Linkage

My guess would be your linkage is in bind (assumes your transmission levels in the automatic are fine). R...

Its the lock. check your fuses. Also check your brake switch. I know toyota's will not come out of park if the brake switch is not working. It should have a over ride.

Isn't this the 2013 truck of the year? You are asking him if the brake bulb is working which may be keeping his tranny in park? Really?

Find out where the reset button is and hit it with a hammer.

It very well could be the bulb. More than likely just a loose nut behind the wheel.

is it parked on a hill? if it has too much pressure on the park lock it won't allow it release from park. if it's on an incline get a couple guys to try pushing the truck as you try taking it out of park. if that don't work block the tires and set the park brake get a buddy to hold the brake as well and go under it with it running and take off the shift linkage and try shifting it into drive from under the truck.
