5.7 with 280, 000 miles
Well she hit 280, 000 miles today on the old 03 ram.. I want a new one but I think if she holds up until 300, 000 I will rebuild her and keep going. Knocking on wood.

Gives me if I could only get a transmission to last that long...

I convinced my wife to give her SUV to her mother (Chevy) with less than 97k. I grabbed her a 2005 Hemi 5.7 (originally posted 128k but in fact 123,500). She has a home to sell in NC, so there's furniture to come up to the KY farm. I felt the 4wd truck provided many more options than a 2wd SUV.

I'm encouraged to see you guys fair well with these 03's. I felt comfortable with the 05. I'll stick with the diesel and help her haul antiques up the road. I'd probably just rack up speeding tickets if I drove the Hemi on the interstate.

I'm scheduled to get Firestone Destination AT's 285/70/17 on Tuesday and feel for her travels through the mountains in winter, this is the tire for her safety. I've got the old 5.9 magnum for off roading (scratches my itch).

Cool, what's your service and repair history for this vehicle?

HULK 09-28-2013 10:32 PM

Thats awesome!!! Im just now hitting 95k and am going to start a thread about those injector cleaning fuels that you can put in to clean the injectors....

Have you ever used this type of product in your hemi?
